Very interesting discussion – but I did not understand a word. Why would someone create an internet persona and call himself a lesbian? I am confused and intrigued at the same time.

Love ya Vera and please don’t get too embroiled in what the listeners are saying. It totally distracts from the good content that keeps us coming back.
Way to out there and uncontrollable. You just keep your opinions coming and let the chips fall where they may. Don’t even look her if you can help it.

It’s a mistake to take every detail to task, something Ragan just couldn’t get over. And the Feast of Fools guys, I’m not sure what happened, but I remember them being in hot water too. Maybe that’s why they were auffed.

Vera is a typical older person who’s been burned and is resigned to just give up. EXCEPT that she’s very smart and listens to those around her that tell her that she DOES MATTER and she does have influence over others. This show was great and it is fantastic to hear vera change her mind and make a difference. it’s fantastic speakers like obama, mlk, and kennedy that motivate people like vera (and me) who think they don’t have an impact into making the most wonderful changes in the world. “be the change you want to see in the world.” Congrats vera and what a great show!

I love Vera, I love hearing hisher viewpoint, and even if I don’t agree with hisher 100% of the time, I do agree that dialog and discussion are important. That’s how we learn about other people and grow. The gays need to be less sensitive about someone saying what works for them in a relationship and thinking it is an attack on their soul. We’re all in this fucked up world together, folks, learn to listen and love.

Regarding the Ecuador story, it occurred to me that the woman Madge was with may not really have been deaf. Speaking that way may just be an act that she uses to get rid of customers when she wants them to leave.
